GAJANAN MAHARAJ UK PARIVAR TRUST (henceforth referred as ‘THE TRUST’, ‘we’) is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales with company number 12037843 and registered office at 54 Maine Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 6AG and the application for the registration as a charity with the charity commission is still in progress.

THE TRUST Privacy Policy applies to personal information, collected, held, and used by THE TRUST.

THE TRUST reserves the right to modify the privacy notice at any time, so please review it frequently. We shall keep the latest privacy notice on our website.

Please do not send your personal information to us if you are under 16 years. If you are required to do so for a specific reason, please email us on info@gmukpt.org and discuss your requirement.

We collect your name, email address, address and contact number.

In addition to this, depending on the type of communication with you, we may collect some technical information such as IP addresses.

THE TRUST collects Personal Information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we collect from you directly either through email or phone communication or exchange of information in meetings
  • Information received from the bank account where you make donations directly
  • The information available on social media sites, which is termed as publicly available information

How do we use the collected information?

THE TRUST use your personal information for

  • legitimate business purpose aligned to THE TRUST objectives
  • specific requirements of the law or regulatory bodies
  • meet your service needs
  • protect the interest of other data subjects or society

THE TRUST does not sell your information or share your information to any party for their own marketing use.

To meet the needs of our service provision, or operate and protect THE TRUST, or protect interest of other users or to protect against actual or specious fraud or required to do so by law, or user communication or with your consent we may pass your information to our service providers, other third parties which may share our aims and objectives.

If we are passing the information outside EEA, we shall make sure your personal information is adequately protected and we have a legal agreement to secure such information transfer.

What rights you have in relation to your data?

  • Request details of your personal information we hold on file by THE TRUST
  • Request a copy of your personal information in commonly used formats kept on file
  • Withdrawal the consent you have provided previously for processing your personal data;
  • Request correction of your personal information we have on file;
  • Request removal of your personal information we have on file;
  • Inform us about restricting the processing of your personal information in certain ways;
  • Inform your objection on specific processing of your personal information by us

We shall process your requests unless we have compelling legitimate reasons for not fulfilling such requests.

You can exercise these rights by submitting a request. This is known as a Subject Access Request.

How to submit a Subject Access Request (SAR)

If you want to make any of these requests, please send an email to info@gmukpt.org. THE TRUST shall process such requests unless there is a legitimate reason not to.

Please send the subject access request along with a self-certified copy of one of the following:

  1. Valid photocard driving license, or
  2. Valid Passport, or
  3. Valid National identity card (with photo) (for Non-UK nationals), or

AND

One of the following documents, not more than 3 months old, showing your full name and current address:

  1. Utility bill or tax bill
  2. Bank or building society or mortgage statement
  3. Landline telephone bill

Please do not send original documents. Please provide self-certified copies of the documents. If the request is submitted by someone other than the data subject, then proof of identity for both the authorised representative and the data subject should be provided.

We will fulfil your request within one month as soon as we have verified your identity. If there are any unavoidable delays, we will update you on the expected revised timelines along with the reason for the delay.

The information you send to us as part of the Subject Access Request will only be used to process your request and respond back to your request. This includes verifying your identity, analysing your request, locating required information, responding back to your request and answering any queries you may have. We may contact you, using the details you send, if we need any further information to be able to fulfil your request.

Making a complaint

If you are not satisfied with the response, please contact us at shreegajananmaharajuk@gmail.com with the details explaining your concerns.

We will review your complaint and investigate if the right procedures have been followed and respond back to you as appropriate. We aim to complete this investigation within 30 working days of receiving your complaint; however, in some cases, it may take longer. If you are still unsatisfied with the response, you may contact the ICO.

You are strongly recommended to review the privacy policies, notices, or security of such websites. THE TRUST is not responsible for the content, privacy practices or use of these websites. THE TRUST shall retain your personal information as long as you are using our services or associated with our work. Post-termination of your relationship with us, we shall maintain your records as long as required by law or legitimate business reasons.

THE TRUST takes appropriate physical, electronic and managerial measures to ensure that we keep your information secure, accurate and up to date, and that we only keep it as long as is reasonable and necessary.

Children’s data

THE TRUST does not collect data of children under 16 years of age. Under any exceptional circumstances if such data is collected then parental consent shall be requested in writing before collecting such data.
