Tulsi Projects

Tulsi plant has got an important place in Indian tradition.  Besides its medicinal properties, it has got substantial spiritual / religious importance.  More simply planting trees equals better environment.
Though still on a small scale, but in its 2nd year now, GMUKPT volunteers planted Tulsi plants in their gardens and distributed the saplings to the wider community to encourage the concept / importance of Environment friendly behaviour.
Our volunteers source hi-quality seeds and used their own garden sheds to nurture a substantial number of small saplings – which are then distributed to people with interest in having the sacred Tulsi plant in their homes.
The project was a tribute to our volunteers’ hard work, creative spirit, responsible intent and dedicated Seva (service) to the community.
People from the wider community welcomed this initiative and with growing GMUK Parivar, we at GMUKPT are keen to scale this up and encourage Tulsi distribution and tree planting.
